$8,500 is gonna be a tough find for a NON POS car. you may have to step up your price a little for better quality.

For the money you are talking, body work and paint will be needed but all is doable. But this forum is your friend.
Worth a call, key is good frame with minor lets say "managable" rust (is there such a thing, LOL's!). IMHO, stay away from "stored outside". If the frame is not bent, this might be a good project if you do the work yourself. If you got this one for 5 or 6, you could put 10 in it and hopefully be close to break even maybe.

This car came from Arizona with no rust problems. It appears that the suspension has been gone through also the rear was upgraded to a mono leaf. It has 4 new rebuilt calipers with stainless steel sleeves, also new gas tank with electric fuel pump and a new radiator. Also has new windshield, new dash pad, new sun visors, new rear window seal, new weather stripping for T tops.The body has custom hood and fender flares, the headlights have been moved to under the bumper, the rear cutouts have been glassed over, the interior has custom dash with new gages and a custom console.
This is a project car motor runs good and the car does yard drive[ needs pivot stud for clutch fork]
68 Big Block Corvette Convertible, original matching number engine and transmission. 4 speed,
Needs complete restoration, partial burn

I have a 1968 Corvette Stingray project car it cranks up and runs but needs work. She's an older gal but has an all fiberglass body so she didn't lose her good looks over the years, just needs her make up painted up and a few scares needs to be medicated but she's still sexy. She's the loud one with the split bumper, pop out back glass and T-tops that hauls *** with a independent rear end. Has all original glass and transmission but the motor is not original. Good rubber all the way around but my baby she doesn't have an interior but she is solid. Needs brakes, gas tank, clutch, interior, little bit of body work and pop-up heads lights. Mechanically motor is good with some new parts but the carburetor needs adjusting and cleaning. I have a 71 convertible 454 auto. Originally War bonnet yellow in color. Car has been stripped and primed. Project started and never finished. Car has been stored inside for the last 25 yrs. Car is complete except for engine. No rust other than surface. Body great with no damage. BB hood. Title in my name. If your interested send me your email address and I can send you photos.
