Looking for a nice LT-1 Coupe to add to the collection. Numbers matching a must and top flight a plus. Looking for a nice real LT-1

While Ontario Orange wouldn't be my first choice; that is a sweet looking 72 Coupe. I'm not an expert on price, but $40k for a real LT1 seems like it is about right.

Thanks, I just e mailed the seller. A little far away for me, but if it is real and a nice car, it may be worth the plane ticket.

I hope for your sake it all checks out! I'm not an expert but a 1 of 240 LT-1 with AC SHOULD fetch more money, maybe much more? Seems highly optioned as well. Ontario Orange is a fantastic color in person. id suggest having an NCRS judge inspect the car. Will run about $400 but you may negotiate with the owner to split that cost since he can then use the report for his selling efforts if you don't purchase the car.

Car needs a complete repaint 10K min. (to meet my standards) He will send me pics next week. Sounds interesting but if anyone knows of a nice LT1 Coupe.....keep the leads coming. I would have never found this car for sale without the help of people like CQRT thanks

Default 71 lt1

I have a 71 LT1 Coupe that I am thinking about selling . War Bonnet Yellow with tan leather. All # matching except the rear end . ( I have the orig # match 4.11 that I replaced with a 3.36 unit ) .
Real nice car . Engine , trans , rear wheel brgs, joints ect are fresh , less than 3000 mi ago.

I want to thank everyone who posted leads and PM'd me with info. The search has ended with this original owner 36K mile 70 LT1 in original condition, fully documented, tank sticker still on tank. Also want to thank Rowdy Rat for sharing his knowledge and giving me some great info about the car

Hi S,
I just noticed your new car has a 'one piece' distributor shield.
There's been a thread tracking that change during the 70 model year.
Perhaps you might want to look for the thread and enter your car's build information.
I think the thread may have been started by 1974ta.
Regards,
Alan

Yes, it is a really late build (July if I recall) so it has the one peice. Valve covers are installed backwards also from previous maintenance

Congrats on the purchase; needless to say; she's drop-dead gorgeous.

Thanks all. I have been in the garage for the past few days cleaning, detailing and making a list. Overall though it is in great shape.
