WTB- 68-71 LT-1 or 427 4 speed, SCG, Silver, LM Blue, or RS Gold
I recently sold my 2010 Z06 and now as the title states, looking for a nice somewhat recent restored 68-71 LT-1 or 427 with a 4 speed. I would like it to have PB, PS, and Air. I am open to either a coupe or vert. Colors include: SCG, RSG, Silver, or Blue. Thanks.

I have listed the options that I would like to have over those years listed and open to cars that do not have all options listed. I'm aware that the options differ each year and with model. No, i'm not interested in a 454 car. Thank you all for your input.

if you are interested in a 427 you can only look at 1968 and 1969. In 1970 it became a 454.
if you are interested in a LT1 you can only look at 1970 to 1972. In 1968 and 1969 it did not exist.
Thought that should be clarified to protect you during your search.

Are the 71 and 72 LT1 the same car except for how the horepower was measured? 71 it was measured at the flywheel and 72 it was measured at the rearwheels? But he motors were the same for both 71-72 LT1 ?

GM never measured horsepower at the rear wheels. In both years it was measured at the flywheel, but in 71 it was measured without air cleaner, exhaust system, power steering pump, water pump, etc. installed whereas in 72 it was measured with those things installed.

Ok people, I am aware that the 427 is from 68 to 69 and the LT1 is from 70-72. I didn't think that I needed to clarify that I thought everyone on this forum would understand, apparently not.

Hi CK,
I think that what might of happened is that folks interested in 68-72 cars see them as being quite different from year to year because of the engine options available, and to a lesser degree, the colors available, each of those years.
Your first post sorta had them all being stirred in the same 'pot'…. which goes against our 'mindset'.
So, good luck with your search!!!!
Regards,
Alan
