I am guessing the op will see another "mess"
What I see is a basket case that has 1/2 a mako kit sorta, the front clip has been modded with a cowl hood scoop which I do not think flows with a mako front clip, note the makos peak line down the center stops at the cowl...makes the cowl look like a mistake to me, others might like the look but it doesn't end there, the scoop is hacked out for a blower or something so it will need a blower installed or the hole repaired,
The car is on a trailer...was it just found/bought to flip? no top out in the weather is taking it's toll, they said it was an LT-1 car, I must be off, the chart I saw for 71 showed over 7000 convertibles but only 1,949 LT-1's? While I am a modder I have to wonder if a real LT-1 is the car rare enough to go back to stock? if so no one jumped on it, it's cheap for a 71 convertible...or is it?
So c3ts says this one has been listed on and off and not sold for 5K hum....lots of questions and a few red flags....

If its real then I think there'd be a lot of people willing to return it to stock but there's probably no documentation to prove it so its just a basket case 71 convertible.

So we do not know things like rust or title condition, but assuming from what I have learned about such basket cases it's a 1500-2000 project or part out....
