FS 69 Conv Auto
1969 C3 Convertible for sale
$14000 firm, Austin, Tx No Drives without cash in hand. I've done this before and psycho wasted two days of my life just being a tire kicker.
I have ~8000mi on the odometer.
Automatic - TH400 v1
NO A/C, No Power brakes, No Power Steering
350 SB
Quadrajet Carb
Powerpack Heads
White top in excellent condition
Birdcage is looks good from what I can see and undercarriage was sprayed who knows when so no rust.
Goodies (New hardware whatever I touched and torqued to spec): Valve covers, Valve Gasket, Gas Cap, DeWitts Radiator, Radiator Hoses, Spark Plugs, Radiator Support. New fluids: Type F Trans Fluid, 10w40 Mobil 1 w/Oil Treatment(zinc), 50/50 radiator fluid. New tires Cooper Cobras have 20mi on them. 255/60-15, 225/70-15 up front. Battery 2 weeks old. Thermostat housing and thermo.
Master cylinder, front crossover, lines, calipers and brake pads.
++Got it inspected for first time in 20+ years and passed. So is DRIVEABLE.
What doesn't work/needs attention:
(PAINT IS NOT IMMACULATE) it sat in a storage unit for over 20 years so..
Tachometer, Fuel Gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge, Radio Amplifier.
Windshield wiper door actuator. Front right light doesn't go down without assistance so probably boot seal needs replacing.
I will answer any questions. I fixed everything myself and open to take more pictures. My family is the second owner so been around for awhile.

Thanks.. Your car looks very interesting.. I'm closing on the sale of a property early June (so, 4 weeks from now).. If you still have it by then, your car is one of about 4 cars that I'm very interested in..

I'm considering chrome bumper C3 convertibles and C6 Convertibles.. Not sure what I will buy but I certainly will buy a Vette once I close on the sale of the property I'm selling. Unfortunately, they are using USDA financing and it takes forever.. We are past home inspection and now they will do the appraisal on Monday or Tuesday.. Appraisal shouldn't be a problem as the house will appraise $20k to $30k higher than my sales price... Then we have to wait for underwriting etc.. Hopefully around June 9 I'll have money to shop for Vettes..
There is also another forum sellers '68 in VA and another C6 Convertible in Michigan that I'm considering.. Several options right now but I have no idea if any of them will still be available when I have the money..
I sold my yellow '68 Convertible in similar condition to yours 3 years ago except that the paint was newer, so I know what they are worth...

This one is still available.. (New Jersey)
http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/5017535931.html
There is also this one.. A little more expensive but very nice and it already has the sidepipes that I would put on the car..

Another option is this one..
http://missoula.craigslist.org/cto/5023334560.html
This one seems to be similar in price and condition to yours.

This is the cheapest one.. has fender flares, but seems original otherwise.

WOW! Some good selections sir! Very hard to compete with the manuals as those are definitely more fun. However, I can sweeten the deal and go $15k.. still obo because I'm about to close on the house and need $$. Personally the other red one with side pipes is pretty sweet but I can personally say mine was serviced 40 miles ago/3 weeks ago. New rubber all the goodies i spoke of. I'm even throwing in, (new) moroso trans gasket and trans filter. timing cover, gas cap. I'll give you the original '69 tires that were removed from the wheel and the wheel trim rings as well. I didn't put those back on for fear of damaging.
Let me know if you have any questions,

Anyways, i have to wait and hope that my sale goes through. We are past inspection and appraisal is this week and then the loan goes to USDA for approval.. probably 3 weeks from now until closing. Buyers were pre-qualified but you never know..

I'm not really sure... Like to get a big block C3 with 4spd... And the all red interior is not really my taste... But 15k starts to get interesting...
Although the USD-EUR exchange rate is quite bad for me this time...

Unless one of them sells in the next 12 days or so, I will likely purchase one of those 3..
If the paint would be newer, I would certainly take this one but with the cost of a decent paint job being $5k and up, I'm looking into other options also.. Love the color combo even though I might paint the car black.. Black/red is a killer combo too!
