I am a retired mechanical engineer and have owned this car for the last 20 years and have tried to restore it to its all original condition…heated garage kept, 77,266 miles.
Documented new parts too numerous to list all but includes radiator, alternator, master cylinder, clutch, U-joints, exhaust, rebuilt transmission & power steering, all new rubber mounts in driveline and in rebuilt suspension, etc, etc. Receipts totaling $28,000 are available. Powered by the reliable 350 CI V8, it's backed with a four speed transmission, power steering, four wheel power disc brakes with new stainless cylinders, and factory air conditioning complete but not run in 20 years. Correct air cleaner, intake manifold, valve covers, exhaust manifolds, ignition shielding, ignition wires, and a/c components are all in place, and the frame is rust-free with all chrome in very good condition. The car is complimented by an original black interior, a new AM/FM/Cassette stereo radio and the fiber-optic bulb indicators all work .
This collectible, last of the "Steel Bumper Corvettes" has T-Tops as well as a removable rear window to give it the feel of a convertible. Exceptional throughout, and ready to enjoy! The car's exterior, originally Sunflower yellow has been repainted, is further accented by black pin stripping and a set of dent free Rally Rims carrying new B.F.Goodrich raised white letter radials in 235/60R 15's. Corvette America felt cover included. This is a great example of one of the last steel bumper Corvettes.
