1969 Corvette

ONLY 62k ORIGINAL MILES!!!! Only 3 careful owners of this well maintained car. Car has always been garaged and has been in dry climate since new! They are only original once!!

VIN: 1G1AY8769B5104734

350 V8 – 300 hp
4 speed Transmission
Posi Rearend
T-tops and Removable rear window
AM/FM Radio

974 Monza Red Paint
407 Red Vinyl Interior

Body/Frame:

This car has the original factory Monza Red paint on a very straight, no hit body. There is no damage to the body and the paint is very shiny. There is some rock chips and some minor flaws typical of 46 year old laquer paint. The front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition and the chrome is very nice. The doors and T-tops fit nicely and the original ‘Astro Ventilation’ side glass are in great condition and work properly. Front Grille is in good shape, emblems, chrome exhaust bezels and tips are in great condition! The body lines are nice and the rocker moldings in good shape. Overall body and paint is excellent condition considering the age! The original rally wheels, trim rings, and caps are in great condition and the Goodyear Eagle GT tires are decent, but aged. The frame is very solid and there is not any rust issues other than the expected hint of surface rust on the exposed unpainted metals. Birdcage, trailing arms, radiator support all very very solid. Overall excellent Body/Frame condition!

Interior:

This car still has the original factory Red Vinyl interior which is in amazingly great condition! There are no rips or tears on the seats – overall very nice condition. The original carpet is in very good condition, back storage area and compartments in very good condition. The rear covers works correctly as does the removable rear window tray. Dash is in excellent condition, gauges and console are in excellent condition, all gauges and warning lights work as does the all of the fiber optics! Heater/defroster controls work as they should. The radio works like an old original radio should! Overall, the interior is in excellent original condition!

Drivetrain:

The original matching number 350 engine (‘HY’ suffix) has never been rebuilt and is completely original! The stock painted valve covers were replaced with the LT-1 finned aluminum valve covers, but I still have the originals. It has a different carburetor on the car, but I have the factory original one that came on it. Manual Steering and Brakes work good, the clutch and transmission work very well. It has a Hurst shifter on it with a stock looking ‘T’ handle shifter. The driveline, rear end, half shafts, bearings, etc., are all tight and in good condition. The cooling system has no issues. The exhaust is newer and is in good shape. The car starts, runs and drives great and is a great cruiser. Overall, the drivetrain is in great condition especially for the age of the car.

Overall:

This is a rare find for an unmolested original survivor 1969 Corvette! This is pretty much a base Corvette that still smells like an old chevy when you get inside! They are only original once and this beauty while not perfect, is a show stopper considering original paint and interior. It is a low mileage beauty that still sports it's original paint, has never been wrecked, matching numbers and a great color combination is a desirable classic C3 Corvette worth considering. Included with the car is the original owners manual, warranty pamphlet, Protecto Plate maintenance schedule pamphlet, an original 1969 brochure. Documentation includes the licence registration from 1970 to current. It has always been stored inside and currently is stored in a climate controlled shop, regularly driven on nice days.

Did you ever have the car judged. Does it have all the ignition shielding in place

Hi Bruce,

We have not had the car judged. It does still have all the ignition shielding in place including the covers over the plug wires located under the exhaust manifolds.

A very nice looking base model 69 and I love the alum. valve covers. I will be doing the same to my 69 whenever!
