I have to agree! Looks great. Plus, show me any other car ever built that looks great with a factory luggage rack!!!!!!! GLWS, wish I could afford it.

I owned one of those back in 1975 it had 60K on it when I bought it for 3800.

Mine was Laguna Gray with a black interior and top it was one of the nicest corvettes I have ever owned.

I hope you don't sell it because if you do you will miss it dearly.

They were not trying to be ferrarri but to be sexier and sleeker and more style than the ferrarri. the steel bumper Cars, 68-72, are one of the best looking produced cars of all time. The fit and finish might not be the same caliber but the cost of this car at the time was much less and the performance was not.

These cars will be gems in the next 20 years as the style and performance, of the era become more reviewed and understood.
You'll get no crap from me...I've felt that this was true for decades now. I was in my mid teens during the Daytona's rule, and at that time I had an awful crush on that car. As I matured, I began to realize that my crush had been based mostly on the car's unavailability to me (no money). Then, in '76 at age 21, I bought my first Corvette...that '70 LT-1, and I couldn't help but make the same comparison then that you do now. The Daytona was the yardstick by which I measured my LT-1, and the LT-1 was found wanting in only one way: refinement. Enter the LS5...a much more refined alternative with similar performance. I'll "take the crap" for you by saying that hindsight now shows that, except for a surfeit of cylinders and the emblem on the hood, the Daytona was largely just another Italian car (not really a very good car, overall). Now as I look back to that era for a car to covet based on it's "cool factor", hindsight shows the Lamborghini Miura was the true standout of the day...though sadly, it too was an Italian car with all the good and the bad that that entails. Now the flames can begin...

In the first image, I notice that the black plastic guards that hide the headlights when they're down are not present. My LT-1 had those...did the big blocks not get them?

The Vette is a gem right now, what your having a problem is finding someone to drop 40+g's overnight. Ain't gonna happen. If the car checks out ( numbers matching, rust free, good paint etc) you will sell the car no problem for your asking price it just takes time, not a lot of people have that kind of cash to say I'll take it without a thorough examination

Btw do have any other pics of the lady that have nothing to do with the car ?

Not sure on the plastic headlight protectors, the ncrs judges book would have this info. which I have and can look at. The LS5 cars and the LT-1 cars have several diff. features besides the engine.

This car is not longer for sale for $42,500. Current NADA Classic Car guide out avg. retail at $49,800. This is the new asking price. Please PM me and I can e mail any and all details.

This is a survivor car not restored and in great condition. They are only original once and this is not a beaten car but one that has always been in the hands of corvette care takers.

Regards Happy Holidays to all.

Mitch

Good for you don't give it away,I recently put my 70 LS5 on eBay to somewhat test the water as they say,and the bids and questions I received were a joke.I understand people like to sell high and buy low,but some people are clueless...Good Luck and hold the line and set the market..
