1975 Convertible - 383 stroker - ~500hp - Dual Carb - Richmond 5 speed
Price is 11,000 or best reasonable offer!
Not a numbers matching car by any means, and the original goal was a fast street car that would occasionally be drag raced, just never got finished.
Starts right up. Drives well too. Needs to be tuned. Carbs were rebuilt a few years ago. Swapped head gaskets to a taller gasket to lower the compression ratio. Can run on pump gas with this setup. Will produce more power if you swap back to standard gaskets and run race fuel.
Call for questions. Will answer the best I can. Car was built by my dad years ago. I have some documentation but not everything.
Engine has less than 100 miles on it. Never seen a drag strip.
It has spent the last 20 years under a carport or in a garage. Hasn't been siting in the weather.
I get it out and start it every 3-6 months and it always fires right up after I prime the carbs. Car has a fuel shut off valve. I drain the carbs before I store it.
Engine was professionally built several years ago in Jackson, MS. Don't have a lot of specs on it, but it's quick. Here's what I do know.
383 sbc
TRW L2252 A .040 pistons
Lunati cam
Lunati roller rockers
Dual Edelbrock Thunder carbs
Edelbrock C-26 5425 Intake (powder coated black)
Richmond 5 speed transmission
Hooker headers and side pipes
World products sportsman II heads
Original Chevrolet Hard top with Carrier
Compression ratio is around 11:1.
Freshly powder coated Moroso Valve covers (black/silver vain).
Has C4 vette seats in it. They are in pretty good shape.
The bad:
Needs a little TLC, and some nick picky parts. Car is a good candidate for a race car build or could even be restored back to original.
Needs tires, the ones on here are old and dry rotting, still hold air, but I wouldn't drive on them long.
Two paint mess ups. 1 chip on rear bumper and crack in the paint above the pass rear wheel.
Interior needs restoring. The dash and door panels are nice, needs carpet.
Could probably use a new wiring harness, or at least go through this one. Tach not working and some of the gauges aren't hooked up, harness would fix a lot of these issues. Car also has power windows. The driver side window regulator needs repair or replacing. I started on it but never finished.
