Default Wanted 68-72

I am in search of a chrome bumper C3 driver.

Prefer in this order:
convertible first then coupe
69
68 (worried about the one year thing so might be more discerning)
71 (wifes birth year. Might get me some brownie points)
72 and 70 equal

I've got a inflexible budget of 20k but would like that to cover getting it to me. Color not an issue except for the interior.
Black
red
Maybe saddle or tan
Don't care for blue or green (interior only)
Other colors I'd just have to see.

Thanks

Lots of people have advertised looking for a 68-72 before you. Look for their threads and check out the cars posted there that are for sale.

Too bad you don't want a blue interior. I've lusted after this one that looks like a good deal but apparently hasn't sold yet:

Very nice car, I'm looking for something just like that I would prefer a black exterior, but I love this red interior and a black/red C3 is very difficult to find.
Do you have some other pics and VIM?

This is exactly the type car you should be looking at. Those less expensive cars in your other thread would be difficult to get to this standard for the difference in price. Love the red/red. I regret that I sold my '73 red/red convertible a couple of years ago.

This is a nice car buy my budget is 20K. I wish money were not an issue but if it weren't then I'd be shopping for a 62 (my favorite year) or a C2. Also this car is too nice for my plans. I want to slightly customize whatever I get.

Well I admire you for sticking to your budget. I do think you will find what you are looking for if you are patient.

You can upload more than 1. Why are yours upside down?

That is close to what I want but some things about it don't work for me. The flares for one. Whats up with the floor under where the drivers seat goes? You said multiple, what else you got?

The foam in the seat pan. Is 1/2" foam with rubber in the center...with adhesive backing... great sound reduction... really helps these cars be so much quieter, almost like a modern vehicle...
i put this on top of gt mat...
sorry about the flares.... can sure get some meaty tires under her though...

A new set of sidepipes and covers go with this convertible..

The skills you have acquired and your stick-to-it-ism are impressive Priya. My wife comes in my shop about once a year and is usually looking for the cat.

You are responding to a post from 5 years ago. I’m guessing you have been caught up in a Related Posted search.
