After a long talk with my lovely wife she has confessed to me that she would like me to keep this car and that she loves the color and going for rides in it with me. She doesn't want me to sell it, so keep it we will do.
Sorry for any inconvenience to anyone having an interest in the car and thank you for looking.

I have for sale my 1971 Brands Hatch Green Coupe, nicknamed Sparty. The trials and tribulations of building "Sparty" can be found and followed here on the forum at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...barn-find.html
It is a Brands Hatch Green Coupe, with green interior, completely restored from the bottom up, frame off, four years of effort.
Currently on my "lift" in the garage enjoying a warm and dry indoor winter I will be bringing him out, cleaning him up, and photographing him as soon as the sun comes home to stay.

I have published a book about the build and that will come with the car, along with its original protect-o-plate; original owner information; dealer information; and much more.
Sparty numbers (frame, engine, a-pillar, transmission) all match and have been verified. The car has just under 50,000 miles showing on the original odometer. The original alternator and original carburetor are not on the car but come with the purchase. The clock was rebuilt but does not work reliably. AM/FM Stereo radio works, as does the A/C, power steering, power breaks, etc. I chose to keep it an automatic because I wanted to keep it original, you own it and do whatever you want to the car.
Please let me know if you have any interest, questions, or thoughts.
Needs a good buffing which I will commit to have done before delivery.
Thanks for looking and best regards,
David Howard

This is a beautiful car. In person it looks better than the pictures.
In my opinion, this car can be purchased without an inspection, but anyone who takes the time to look would not be disappointed.
Good luck with the sale.

David is a very straight forward, fair individual who is knowledgeable and realistic about values and condition. I have purchased many things from him over the years and have always received exactly what he described, if not a little better. Anyone dealing with him on this car can know that he isn't a BS'er looking to make a quick buck or dump something with issues off on someone else. This is a really nice car and I doubt any inspector will find anything that David hasn't told you about before hand if you take the time discuss it with him.

Thanks to all for the kind words. I promise to reveal everything about the car that I have and know. I never sell anything that I wouldn't buy and back everything I sell with my pledge of honesty and integrity.
I'm patient to get the right buyer. Thanks again for looking.

David,
I never thought I'd live to see the day Sparty is for sale.
You did such an extensive restoration you have a part of your soul in that car.
I wish I could afford it, I'd buy it cause I know it's done right .
I hope the new owner can truly appreciate the passion that went into
Sparty to make him the warrior he is.
I love the color.
Hopefully I'll see you soon or at Carlisle in August.

beautiful work
it truly is nice to see a truly restored vette as to people claiming a frame off restoration that is junk beautiful color combo and high quality restoration people just don't realize how much it cost to put out a quality product like that
