Default How do I remove this disk from my '73 Steering column?


Steering Column 1973 Vette


Hello,


I'm dismantling my steering column to get to the point where I can replace my ignition switch cylinder. Lost my keys AND my backup set! Shame on me! Trying to figure out how to take this disk off. It's right in front of the turn signal and hazard switches. Any advice appreciated!

There is a tool that compresses the spring behind the plate. Once compressed remove the retaining ring. Release the toll and the plate comes off.
