Ok so here you can see the one of the half shafts. I had the shafts professionally high speed balanced including the main drive shaft. I also had them painted and installed with Spicer solid no zerk u-joints all around. A very high quality job done correctly. Notice the correct french locks!

Shout out to Arthur Gould's in NY for doing a great job on rebuilding my water pump during the engine rebuild phase. I consider that part critical here in AZ with a big block!!

Hi Rushfanatic 2112 and Fly by Night were my favorites back in 1978
Anyway been working and not able to spend much time doing anything else. I am working to update the cars website (I know the car has its own website) with more details of the car including some pictures I took last weekend.
I purchased the car from an older gentleman back in 1997 in Spokane.
Check out the site in a few days 1971corvetteaz.com
Pics will be like these>
Thank you all for looking!!!!

In order to have an internally balanced setup you must have a balanced crank. In this case the new forged steel crank was balanced as seen in this picture. All the additional parts of the rotating assembly were balanced as well including the forged connecting rods and pistons.

Looks like my 17 year odyssey has come to a close. I learned so much over this time about this car. The car now has a new home in Denmark and is leaving soon. There is certainly a piece of me in that car, actually all over it as I had rebuilt every component over this 17 year period. I am proud of the work I did and owe so much of the knowledge to many of you hear. I am too old to continue doing this kind of work but as much as I hated it.... I loved it. I bet that resonates with many of you. These cars are not easy to work on (ask anyone how has had to work in the dash or get the rotors run-out set to within 0.002 in!) or to deck a head and not wipe out the stamping.....this list goes on... but then when you sit back and look at the job you did and the beautiful shape and lines of this magnificent car....makes the job worth it!
Big thanks to Alan71 what a wealth of information you have provided over the years to me. Not only the information but such a great willingness to help others and guide and provide the pictures of how the job should be done right. Also a big thanks to GDaina, Lars G. TimAT and so many more!!!
I will still lurk around here but maybe more to help others now and give back to what was given to me.........Last picture before the car ships out...with my new rescued dog Ella. I will be spending a lot of time with her now.
