Default For Sale - 1968 L-71 Coupe - Numbers Matching

1968 Numbers Matching L-71 Coupe, (See Photos of Stampings) Original 427ci-435hp, At 19K, the engine was blueprinted and built to L-88 specifications in 1973 and has been lightly driven around 16508 miles since then. At over 500hp, the engine, the 4-Speed M21 close ratio manual transmission and the heavy duty 3.55:1 Positration Rear End are in great condition. I have not gotten my 58 year old bod underneath to snag the transmission stampings, but I have seen them. Always garaged and nurtured. In North Carolina,,,,,Any questions, just let me know.

Asking $ 27,500.00 with maybe a little wiggle room from there,,,,with some addon's negotiated out of the deal. All reasonable offers considered.

Full description, more photos of car and stampings located at:

I have been with this car since 1973 and will happy to answer any questions. Again, this car was built for show and to get attention in the 1970's and she took numerous first in shows. So mission accomplished! Some of you might cringe at the changes that were made,,,My best friend wanted this car built to L88 specs and it was, after all there isn't all that much difference in the L88 and L71. She could be restored back original or turned into a resto-mod, either way the car will always be a true born, low mileage L71 and with its 50 year birthday just around the corner,,,there are simply not to many L71's still out there in Vetteland,,,especially a lower mileage car. Thanks for reading,,,,

Nice looking car, curious as to why it needed a frame off restoration after five years?
Good luck with the sale.

Hey Lobzila, It didn't really need it, but my best friend wanted to build it for show,,,,so everything came off and was tripled checked, color changed and then re-assembled. He felt that the slightest little blemish would cost him placement when it was shown. Thanks for looking,,,
