1968 350 coupe for sale
Beautiful red 1968 coupe with red paint and black interior for sale. Has M21 4 speed, A/C, and working FM radio (original).
Previous owner recently had the 350 motor rebuilt (less than 1000 miles). Casting # 3970010, Casting Date D288. Not able to read Block Vin.
327 intake installed by previous owner, # 3875954
Interior is in good condition, no major tears cracks etc. Body is in good condition, has normal defects such as scratches on the chrome bumpers, and a few paint bubbles. Can send more detailed photos upon request.
Just had doors and windows realigned, electrical system checked out with open issues addressed (reverse lights, high beams). Also just had brand new set of chrome hooker headers and sidepipes installed. Tires have plenty of tread and are in great shape.
I also have a good amount of performance upgrades in boxes that I'll be throwing in (see pics).
Price Lowered: $28k OBO.

Looks like a really nice ride, also looks a little like Harbor Blvd. when you got gas. Smile you were on candid camera!.
Anyway, good luck it should go pretty quick.

Hi 427,
Your car looks nice but I'm wondering if the uncertainty about what the engine actually is may be making some buyers pass your ad by.
From the shape of the stamp pad on the front right of the block it appears it's a later 70's block with an intake on it that was used on 327cu.in. engines.
You might at least be able to settle what the engine began life as by posting the casting number, casting date, and any information that might be stamped into the engine pad.
Regards,
Alan

I agree with Alan, also, did you add the 'Stingray' badging above the fender vents ? I thought that was first introduced in '69 ?

Apologies for the MIA status. Been a long few months with home and work life!
I have amended the original posting with some updated information and photos.
Answering a few inquiries:
Block is believed to be a 350, Casting # 3970010 date coded D288. I believe the 327 intake (#3875954) was added by the previous owner to restore the original 1968 "look."
The Stingray emblems were added by previous owner (not available in 1968).
Thanks for looking!
