FS: 1971 Corvette BARN FIND!!
Selling a 1971 270 hp 350 with a turbo 400 transmission as a parts car.
This is a numbers matching car that someone in Marshall, TX disassembled completely and then left in a field under a tree BESIDE the barn.
This car has never been titled in Texas and the last title I have found so far is from 1996 in the Cleveland, OH area. I do not have a title, I bought it from the land owner that the car was sitting on. The buyer would have to get a bonded title or try to get one from Ohio. The car is not stolen and does not have any liens against it, the Ohio DMV told me that much.
As you can see in the pictures the car has been hit and amateurishly repaired on the passenger side front.
This is a War Bonnet yellow car with saddle interior. It is a AC, and power window car and somewhere it got the black stripes in the pictures. What you see is what you get. Thanks for looking.
I will post more pics later!
Price is $3000 obo

Safety Car
Needs a little TLC...
I'm not saying that it is, but you might want to see if you can get some history. When I saw the paint job, it reminded me of the corvettes that Chevy leased to astronauts for a buck a year. In 1971, Apollo 14 went up with Alan Shepard, Stuart Roosa, and Edgar Mitchell. Who knows, maybe one of them owned it for a time.

FWIW: most of the Corvettes used by astronauts were owned by GM and used for media purposes. Some of the astronauts actually purchased Corvettes of their own, but most did not. Your car has a Baldwin-Motion like rear treatment which is not the same as the black and gold 69 astronaut media cars. It's not likely you have stumbled across an astronaut car, but researching the car's history could prove to be interesting. Good luck with the hunt.

The top windshield frame looks toasty. How is the lower parts? Frame straight or has it been tweaked when the car was wrecked? Do you have any front grill parts or just the bumper?

I'll probably regret this, but give me a call at 682-201-5804. I'm just finishing my current project and don't know how to waste the next 2-3 years of my life while ignoring the wife out in the garage. Building this heap into an autocross car could be just the ticket!

Like others have said, it is unlikely to be an Astrovette. It would be in your best interest to find out, and NASA are the only ones who know all of the Astrovette #'s. It could be worth many times what you are asking - and a lost piece of american history.
You are in the right part of the country, so you might as well dream big! Here is a good place to start your search:
