FS 1972 Corvette Stingray
I bought this car in 2014 intending to create a "new" 72 Vette. Last week I bought a new 2016 and there is not enough room for two. Below is a list of new parts and I will list the needs after...
This is a automatic, ps, pb, pw car. Red with Black Interior (Not original)- Not numbers matching. Previous owner changed the hood. I dont have hood but do have the cowl door and parts.
Installed 2014:
New Tires
New Battery
New Gas Tank
Installed 2015:
GMP-10067353-4 Pace SBC 350CID 300HP Brand New Crate Engine (Pro Installed)
B&M Street and Strip Transmissions 112002 (Pro Installed)
2200 Stall Converter
HEI Ignition
New Radiator, belts & hoses
New Fuel Pump
New Water Pump
New Alternator
New Starter
New 2 1/4" Anodized Aluminum Exhaust w/ Flowmaster Mufflers
Newer Intake (New on the car when I bought)
Rebuilt the Newer Holley Carb (New on the car when I bought?
New Wiper Motor
Installed 2016
New Vintage Air Conditioning System (Pro Installed)
New Dynamat heat and sound damper in interior
All light bulbs replaced
New Carpet
New Sill Plates
New Console
New Shifter Plate
New E Brake Console
New Gauge Bezel
New Vintage Stereo
New Pioneer Speakers
New Dash Pad
New Driver Dash
New Passenger Dash & Map Pocket
New Headlight Switch, **** & Bezel
New Rear Window Trim
New A Pillar Trim
New Windshield Trim
New Storage Compartments
New Storage Doors & Pulls
New Seat Belts w/ Shoulder Belts
New Quarter Trim
New Seat Belt Covers
New AC Vents
New Tail light Lenses
I have seat foam, covers and supplies to restore the seats.
Overall the rest of the car is good. . By no means a show car but I still had work to do. Car runs great, starts with no effort. AC is cold as you can imagine. Headlights do not go up because of vaccum issue and needs transmission passing kick down. It's a southern car and no rust. Title in hand.
I will never recover the money invested but it is in a great place for someone to pick-up and complete as time allows. I just need room in the garage.
$15,500...May consider trade for Jeep of equal value or less with cash.

I always had turbo 400 with shift kits and high stall converter. I had a 540 77 vette with a turbo 400. It was fun but in a vette I will always get a 4 speed.

For that price you can buy a five speed setup and still be ahead, just need the pedals

With all the $$$ work you have done, where are the under hood pics ?
Swell car, maybe you can describe the condition of front/rear suspension, paint & chrome (minus the hood) to get some interest goin' !!
got the jack/tire tub/spare ? Details will help you move this one ! The more the better.
GLWS, seems like a really fun driver car!!

The paint was completed in 1978 (according to previous owner) and shines very nice. Again, not show quality but obviously maintained for 30+ years. There are chips here and there and will require paint to be perfect. No apparent body repairs except minor fiberglass on the front valence.
Suspension is just like every other cb Vette i have inspected, the right side sits higher than the left. It works and drives but I planned to replace with adjustable suspension. No obvious issues.
Steering is slightly loose but it is 44 years old. I planned to replace next year along with suspension.
Brakes work fine, pedal is a little low and again I planned to replace booster and master along with steering next year.
The spare tire is there and appears original in it's proper tub and the jack is also where it should be. As noted earlier, I replaced the compartments and everything is tight.

Just to clarify, the car runs and drives well. The casters are under to store it tightly against the wall so I can fit my other Vette inside. Unfortunately, they were ambitious calling my garage a "Two-car". Also, fluid stains on floor are not from this car. It does have a couple minor drips but nothing real obvious.
