1977 COUPE Barn Find - $1800 - SOLD
Well, it was sitting beside a barn!!
Selling for a friend - 1977 CORVETTE COUPE.
The GOOD news -
L48 Automatic. Rally wheels with chrome rings and caps. Luggage rack with t-top holders.
Body/paint is in really good shape with a minor damaged place over one fender and cracked paint on the nose of the original front flex bumper. Both bumpers are in great shape; no cracks in the rubber
Under hood is all stock.
Windshield is cracked.
Interior is in pretty sad shape.
Now the BAD news -
This car has been sitting outside for literally 10 years. Was last started - according to current owner - about 6 months ago. We tried last week to start, but battery is toast. Starter clicked! And lights came on when on the charger.
Transmission was rebuilt and run about 2 months before parking the car (see "10 years ago"). Fluid looks 'new'. Motor oil looks old but no water in it. We didn't have a socket/breaker bar to try and turn over the engine.
This car is basically a "barn find", but just not a really desirable car (compared to C1, C2, etc). IMHO everything needs to be replaced/rebuilt.
Does anybody want to save a C3??
$1800
Thanks,
walt z.

Cannot sell for a friend. Have him get his own free account and list it:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...eir-parts.html
These are the rules which will govern the sale of items on the forum.
1. Commercial Sales
Supporting vendors pay for the considerable bandwidth charges on the Forum, making it free for the rest of us. In exchange, they get the privilege of using the Forum to market and promote their goods and services.
Forum members are welcome to sell a Corvette or Corvette parts they purchased for their own personal use. Anything else is considered to be a commercial sale.
MEMBERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO LIST CARS AND PARTS THAT THEY PERSONALLY OWN.
* Listing cars and parts for family or friend will not be allowed without prior approval by an administrator.
* These vehicles listed must be titled in the member's name prior to listing here on the forum.

Hey guys,
The admin wanted me to clarify some things -
The owner is handicapped and isn't really 'computer-savvy'. I'm helping him get rid of this car.
-The owner and I will both be there when anyone comes to look at the car.
-The owner will answer any questions. If he can't, I'll try and help out.
-If the owner can't open hoods, doors, etc, I'll help.
-If a deal is made, I'll help get the car onto the buyer's trailer, etc.
-If the deal 'goes south', it will be because the owner and the prospective buyer can't come to an agreement.
Hope this helps.

I'm mobile. Can you tell me where the car is located?

The car has been SOLD.
Btw - new battery and some gas down the carb and it fired right up - like 2 revs and BAM! heard no 'funny noises' except for exhaust leak.
Thanks.

luggage rack
Do you still have the 1977 corvette barn find and would you be willing to part with the luggage rack only? I am desperately looking for one for my 77 rebuild.
