Have you tried contacting American Street Machines?

Oh yes I have tried American Street Machines! No one answers the phone or returns emails. I have the link saved where the car was for sale in 2008. I've tried the C3 Registry. American Street Machines put it on the registry in 2008 but I have no idea what happened to it since then. I have done many many searches of the internet to no avail.

Can i ask how do you run a VIN search with less than the 17 VIN numbers.. i have been looking for an older car i owned in the 70's and it only has 13 VIN numbers like your 71 Corvette.
I ran the auto data check for my 1977 Pontiac Can Am and it just gave me a couple of states it got registered in on that website but heck last registration was in 1998 so i still can't find the car. Oh well
thanks for any help and good luck on your search

I've had the same problem. Most don't search less than 17 digits. The couple I have found that do show the last registration in the early 2000s. jv04 says it is listed in NMVTIS but I'm not sure if that is a current registration or just an old record. I've been suckered in to spending $5 and $10 several times to no avail. Richard454 gave me a lead I'll track down. Thanks Richard!

If I remember correctly there was a yellow LT1 for sale about a year or so ago on Craigslist, the guy lives in Blairsville Ga (I think) he has a really nice green 70-72 for sale now....You might try him.
I'll see if I saved any pics of it....
