Depends on who did the work, the labor rate, the amount of re-work, the attention to details, how bad the car was when they started, etc.
I watched a Corvette restorer fit an exhaust bezel (one side) to an NCRS level restored 63 coupe. The fitting, removing, re-shaping, sanding, rinse and repeat took 10 hours before he was happy. He IS a perfectionist.
His labor rate at that time was $90 an hour.
I thought it was a good thing the car was his.
I would pitch a fit at $900 just in labor costs to fit one exhaust bezel on what looked to me to be a pretty nice panel to begin with.

As I said earlier, I don't blame anyone for doubting what I've got into the car. At this point, all I can do is ask a potential buyer to come and look at the car completely. Then they can see that almost everything is new or NOS.

most shops go by hr and not by job if they redo every little thing it can sure add up quick. Spent over 90k doing my camino and only things I had done were seats headliner and paint. EVery single part outside from strippiing the body pulling it off lots of sandblast/paint engine done by this guy. It goes fast if you do everything and overdo a few, and redo a handful;it will happen
35k for whats a new car really isnt so out of line when you think about it+ enough mi to work any kinks out of it.
