F/S 1980 Corvette 4-Speed, West Palm Beach, Florida, $3,000 OBO
10/28/16
This is my one-owner car which hasn't been driven much in the last ten years though it is still tagged. It has 140,000 miles. It runs but can't be driven more than a block or so right now because it has a leaky p/s pump and a leaking rear-end.
The body is in decent shape but there are serious floorboard and birdcage rust problems. This is shown in the video and pictures which follow. I would also like to note that the tires on the car have plenty of tread with only about 10,000 miles on them but they are almost a dozen years old. This Corvette has the multitude of mechanical problems you would expect in a car this old. Oddly enough it's required little maintenance over the years: a clutch and a couple of brake jobs were the only major items.
I have the title to the car and all maintenance records from when I purchased it new in 1980. Transferring the car to a new owner would be quick and easy. I hope to find someone locally here in South Florida for a quick sale.
Nothing about the car is knowingly being hidden.
I tried to embed the YouTube link into my post using the above YouTube icon but that didn't work. So to watch the video you'll need to click on this link:

Pictures when new
I do have photographs of the car when it was new but obviously there was no digital back then.
It's been in Florida the whole time. No salt on the roads here which explains why there doesn't appear to be any rust on the frame. The rust problems originated from leaks in the t-tops. The car has never been garaged.
It was a daily driver until about 10 years ago. I bought it off the showroom floor for $13,400 and I've spent little on maintenance over the years so I can't complain.

Oh Well!
A week ago I listed the car at eBay. With one day left in the auction I'm hopeful I'll get an acceptable offer. The link is

We'll see.

I did get a high bid of $3250 but the bidder wouldn't pay up so I lost a whole week in the process. To enhance the appeal I hooked up a dash cam and drove the car around the block. I added that video clip to a new relisting which is "Buy Now" only. Here's what the new listing looks like:

Hope this works!
