Can't believe I'm doing this... '69 coupe for sale
Two torn rotator cuffs and a pending knee operation have me thinking it's time to give up a ride I've enjoyed every summer for 17 years. Paint is a decent 20 footer, took the numbers matching 350/300 out and have enjoyed a 454 stroked to 496 with sidepipes since 2004. Driven summers only. Reliable strong engine and great riding, also installed a Tremec 5 speed. Tilt/telescopic, rebuilt last year am/fm stereo with new factory speakers, a/c and aluminum radiator. Started replacing interior parts last year but still needs carpet. Asking $39,000 with the original block, a/c hood, radiator, and everything else I removed to install the big block. Happy to negotiate if you don't want the numbers matching parts. This really sucks.
Engine details:
• 454 Chevy block stroked to 496 cubic inches
• Eagle 4.25” stroked forged steel crank
• “H” beam rods
• Forged pistons
• 9.9:1 compression
• Extreme Energy 270 roller cam with 270/276 duration & 5.10/5 lift
• Double roller gear timing set
• Comp Pro Magnum roller rockers
• Edelbrock Air Gap intake manifold, port matched
• Armondo’s custom racing 8 quart oil pan, windage trayed and trap doored
• MSD billet distributor and MSD 6AL ignition box
• Barry Grant 750 Speed Demon Carb
• 5-speed Tremec transmission
It'll run on regular or premium, but vapor locks on 10% ethanol. All new vacuum system 2005. Pop-out rear window, wiper door, wipers, and headlights all work, new rubber last fall. Garaged each October and comes out of hibernation in April. Has been to California twice, Idaho, Canada, Texas and is a great road car. Gets 15-16 on highway and pulls 1500 rpm at 60 mph.
New tires (stock) last fall. Smoked glass tops with white trim.
Re-shot the front end to keep it Mr. Clean white two years ago and coated it with 3M clear spray.
New console and parking brake cover. Driver seat will need recovered in a few years.
Love the tilt-telescopic. Don't buy one without it. Odometer hasn't worked for several summers.
All gauges and clock work. Several of the fiber optic
Demon carb, no auto choke (no room), MSD electronic ignition, power brakes, no power steering, cold a/c, heater works.
Have not done this before. If photos don't show, I'll try again.
