1969 Corvette $6500 OBO
1969 Corvette $6,500 located in Wilmington, DE
1969 corvette coupe project 350 NOM 4 Speed. Runs, Drives, and Stops! I bought this project about a year ago and started collecting parts but found a nice 71 LT-1, so I pulled the plug on this. The car started life as an L-46 bit it appears if some one blew the motor in the early 1970's. The block is a CE or warranty block with a early 1970's casting date. The heads are camel hump but I never checked the casting dates. The car had a L-88 distributor and a z-28 manifold - so I think it may have been an early version of an over the counter performance motor. The exterior of the car was customized with am L-88 hood (Aftermarket) and 1.5 inch flares that I think was done in the 1970's. The car currently has 15 x 10 wheels and 275/60/15 tires. The car is pretty solid and mostly all there. It will come with front and rear bumpers and the grill. I have other parts available for extra money. The car has new tires, new rotors, new tank, new lines, and newer carb. The frame is solid and the birdcage has a few issues but is still considered solid. The rad support has some issues. The body has a few small cracks but no major damage.

I think it's priced well. If it were closer I would take a look for sure at $6500. Be patient. You may have more luck advertising locally on Craigslist or in the paper.

Great pictures of the car; you certainly aren't trying to hide anything. You may want to include a video of the car running so potential buyers can hear and see that it runs...it may help. GLWS!

Pretty fair price to start a OBO, I think.

I have been looking for awhile for a 68 project and yours is certainly in the ballpark in terms of what you get for the price. Agree, I would list on Craigslist and then put on ebay with a starting price of the lowest you would take with no reserve and see how much action you get. Might be better in March and April too since I think Feb might be a slow month.

Hi jros,
"Feedback?"
I think the amount of rust showing in the windshield frame and hinge pillar drops the value below $6500.
Rust problems are rarely less than they first seem to be, and often more than they first seem to be.
More and more people are becoming aware of the skill, time, and $$ required to repair a rusty car.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks for the feedback guys. I wanted to hit CF before CL to weed out the tire kickers and Richard Rawlings wannabees. I hear you on the birdcage but I WANT to believe that the rust has not compromised the structure and it could just be cleaned up then coated. The cage is not perfect but I really do not believe it warrants replacement.

certainly a decent start if someone wanted to piece together a driver 4 spd is a plus
If NOM=numbers matching if it were me Id take that out, put period/replacement deal or youll get all kiinds of wanna be ncrs judges nitpickers who arent even interested and more lowballers.
It will sell take your time
Ad sounds descriptive enough. May need work but at the end of the day its a stel bumper 4 spd dont have to give it away they arent making any more of em

Seems like a decent starting place to me. I actually want to build a C3 vintage race car and this would make a great start. Unfortunately I have to sell my C4 race car first.
