Default Please help...WTB 69/70 restomod

I've been searching for about a year for the right convertible, LS based car and have had no luck.

My requirements, no yellow or green cars, must be manual trans and over the top. February of last year I bought a 2016 C7 Z and it just doesn't do it for me. I have sold that car.

So here I am today looking for that perfect restomod. Sure, I can attend auctions all over the country but just don't have the time.

Can you guy's point me in the right direction.

Thank you.

It's looking like that's what I'll need to do. I did find a nice 69 roadster here in town and the price is right but finding someone to restomod it will be a challenge.

Well I have something you might like A 1968 resto mod for 11k

I also have a full Twin Turbo 4.8 built motor that will do over 900 HP. The turbo system is designed for a C2/c3 corvette and ran 9.20s at 154 MPH at the digs.

I will be happy to give you estimates on putting this combo together for you with a nice T56 or 480LE tranny for you for a very reasonable price. The finished piece will be significantly cheaper than most high end builds and you will smoke that C7 like a cheap cigar.

Some examples are I have a twin turbo TTix C5 Z06 tiger shark that currently puts down 800 at the tire. If you would like to see the world through a screaming face I'll be happy to show it to you and give you a ride (Alex VA).

I'd love to do this project. I've got all the time in the world but flat broke as I'm out of work.

PM me if interested. Both the car and the engine are on the forum

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-rag-top.html

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...bo-engine.html

Buy the parts and my team can build you exactly what you are looking for, give you a dyno slip at the tire, and run your target performance at the track.

PM me if interested and serious.

Still looking for that restomod roadster guys. Can't believe it's this difficult when in fact they made 39k 1969 cars and I don't know how may 70's were made.

I think I've looked at every 69,70, 71 Corvette for sale in the country and nothing is out there.

Only thing I can think of is people don't restomod C3's like they do C1 and C2 cars.

Guess I'll need to wait for the Good Guys show later this summer and maybe I'll get lucky and find something there unless someone here knows of one

There are very few C3 high end Restomods built most are built with nothing but cost in mind and it shows in the finished cars. I have built all 4 of my Restomods 2 C3's trying to use the best parts available at the time. My red LS1 6 speed is still for sale not cheap but one of the best builds around.

I certainly cannot disagree with you Mark. That is one beautiful car and well built however a bit out of my price range. I'm hoping to stay around 70k and if I absolultley have to push it to 75k. I really think my budget is in line for a quality car if I can find it.

I do have a question for you and I'll send a PM.

Awesome car! Congrats!

I just sold a car, and I'm also in the market for a well-built C3 restomod, but I'm not paying $90k.

What is the power plant in your new car?

ProStreeter,

If you wouldnt mind sharing some of the web links where you were looking for your car, i'd appreciate it. I have found some decent links, but I'm sure there are some quality cars out there that I'm missing.

Thank you, and congrats on your new ride!

The engine is a 408CI. 548/550, 100 shot of juice. 6k miles on the engine and has the torque, power and manners of a BB. Gobs of tires shredding power and tremendous sound from the side pipes. Everyone thinks its a BB.

However, I'll pull the engine this winter and replace it with a C6 engine.

The car does need a little work but the PO made it right in the end. He was a good guy to deal with.
