Last Winter I put a 4L80E built by Rodney in my C4 Vette. (pulled out ZF 6sp)
I am making around 750RWHP on Spray with my settup and this Transmission took all the abuse I could give.

I ran all year last summer without a Transmisison hickup, I pounded on the trans round after round.

This past Winter in an effort to improve my 60ft's I opted to have Rodney install a TransBrake and change the 1st and 2nd Gear in the transmission. This to my knowledge has not been done. I simply told Rodney what I wanted to do, and his comment was "Lets do it!"

RPM Transmissions Installed new gears, and a patent pending Trans Brake for me to come out this spring with.

I had the pleasure today to watch this master perform the alterations to the valve body, change springs and re-assembly this 4L80E in RPM's Transmission facility in Sulpher Springs IN.
I was absolutly in awe of the quality and integrity of the RPM Transmission TEAM, Jason, Wes, Todd, Rodney - These guys got it together!

Todd goes out of his way to make sure the customer is happy. While I was waiting for my 4L80E to be loaded into my trunk I watched the magic as Todd juggled the new customers calling in, filling orders, shipping transmission with the UPS guy, and answering my question. Absolutly a professional operation.

My goal this spring is to run some 140mph passes with RPM's 4L80E and gets some nice pics of the back bumper dragging on the ground.

the other set of gears your talking about are 2.76 first and 1.56 second. any hp trans shop can install these gears for you. they are the other set of gears that can be used in the 4l80e trans.

Yep the 2.75, 1.57 gears are brought over from the 400
But the Brake with Lockup is new stuff.
