I second that and the prototype was successful it may be one you are fairly familiar with if you followed my build.
the third design of it is in production as we speak, I have been quiet for some time now because of it and don't wanna spill too much as there is some work to finish before a production model is available, but it looks to be a reality, pricing is to be determined and not gonna speculate until we can clearly define what comes in the kit and upgrade options. still gotta talk to the powers that be on the board once the final version is ready for sale so don't delete me Mod's! you'll be hearing from us soon!
stay tuned.......

I hope both kits come out. It will be nice to have some options.
The STS kit will be great for a stock bolt on kit for not alot of cash. I'm guessing it will be in the $3,XXX range similar to the rest of the STS kits. However, it won't have an intercooler and have no spare tire.
I think the front mount kit similar to Chris's will be MUCH better for people that want real power. Shorter pipes, a real intercooler, and you get to choose real mufflers to choose your car's sound. Not to mention the 600+ hp that its capable of.

Since the turbo is in the back, how about an intercooler at the back. That way the air is cooled/condensed before it's pushed forward?
P.S.
I'm glad this thread is here, that other thread is just getting out of hand.

might be nice if you could do like a rear rad setup but for the intercooler!!!!

The turbo and muffler are right there in the STS kit. The front of the turbo is hanging off of a bar that runs across the holders for the spare tire holder. Then you have the width of the turbo and then 6 inches after that you have the muffler.
Not to mention that the smallest intercooler worth running on our engines is going to be about 2.5x12x20". That's quite a bit bigger than the cooler that the ZF guys have mounted in the picture.
I always figured STS was big on the meth injection because they couldn't find a good way of getting an intake pipe from the rear of the car to the very front of the car.

a front mounted intercool would be better and not too hard to do.

But just because they found a way to do it on the C5 doesn't mean it can be done on a C4.

looking forward to buiding a low compression zr1 someday with the sts turbo kits. they work alot better than I thought. saw a bunch of rear turbo cars at the recent corvette challenge and the results were very impressive to say the least!!
bowery boy, and a 427 sts rear turbo car as well as some cool big displacement and nitrous vettes. cold day but the results were worth it!!

Could a guy get a ride in them? I am assuming you will have the pricing figured out as well by then. . Be a good selling prop to have a dyno pull or two along
Before and afters are always nice.
People who make us go faster are cool!
