Default Aluminum air box for ProCharger

She is getting closer.

This is a test fit of the aluminum airbox. The connection to the blower will be at the bottom of the box, then the welds will be ground down and the aluminum brushed. An aluminum lip will be fabricated to hold down the K&N filter.

FYI -- The cast lid for the SuperRam is being black wrinkle coated....

Looks good, but will the filter flow enough air? That looks like a normal filter that you would see on a car, not something that would power a 500hp beast. The last thing you want is a restriction on the intake of the blower.

Cutting a hole in the hood and adding some sort of scoop, or are you using a high-rise cowl hood? I don't recall what your hood looks like.

The filter in the pictures is just for the test fit. I'm going to run a K&N -- we calculated the surface area, I will be a little larger surface area than the K&N 6" cone filter.

I have an open high-rise scoop, so this is going to be fully functional.

On the bottom of the air box, we will apply a thermal barrier. So I should be pulling a boat load of cool air now.
