Default Best 700R4 Transmission/Blower?

I am currently working on my 1992 supercharged LT1 car and need info on the best option for building my TH 700R4 transmission to be reliable with 500/500 HP/TQ dyno tested RWHP. Some other info:

Cam: 220/230 @0.050,114 LSA, 0.544 lift
Heads: AFR 190 fully ported with 74cc chambers
CR with heads as set up: 9.5 to 1
Rear end: Dana 44, stock 3.45 gears (from 6 speed car)
Stock trans and converter
Boost at 10 PSI after intercooler
Ignition: Delteq 4 coil conversion/ stock optispark for timing signals.

I have looked at TCI and B&M so far. Is there a better choice? I tried looking with the search, but not much applicable info there.

Thanks

You can also try monster transmission website and read on there rebuild kit. I would not stay with you're stock converter it won't last, ask me how I know . I ate the converter which
Plugged the tranny . I bought a redline converter 9.5 " 3000 stall and I got the best transmission rebuild kit they had with 5 pinion planetaries front and back

You may want to keep your eye on the Delteq unit. I found it necessary to replace it. It was a great concept but with boost over 5000rpm it just did not get it done for me. Perhaps you may be more fortunate.

there's specialty builders out there that specialize in 700r4/4l60e transmissions. I got mine from a place on Torrance CA. He said that he has guys putting up to 900 hp through theirs and I do believe him. When I was dropping off my unit there were some street racers dropping off theirs for a freshening. Another option is pro built automatics. He has his transmission holding up in the high 9 second range. 500/500 shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you use a big trans cooler to keep it alive.

no direct experience with rebuilders, because for every person who has an automatic, you get a vendor who they feel is "the best in the business".

http://transmissioncenter.net/

this website is very informative (including issues with aftermarket 5-pinion planetary gears), and they also offer several options for the 700R4, including changing out the gear ratios (which is the issue in my opionion, 3.xx 1st gear with the huge drop to second 1.6x). They also offer a 4L80 swap! It appears to be a lot stronger transmission, with a "better" gear ratio package. Of course, it comes with a price tag.

The 4L80 is a much stronger trans but should be blueprinted as well. If still available the HGM - Compushift in conjunction with the 4L80 was awesome !!! greg

I was shocked when I did a Jeep Hemi with coil over that would not fire more than stock gap with added blower!!!! So much depends on gap and available voltage.....with so many unknowns start with a .030" gap.

I can tell you that the MSD-6M (that's the sealed Marine unit with high end components) and a stock coil with good wires and plugs will NOT mis-fire thru 6500 rpm. Add the MSD 8252 coil (designed specifically to match the MSD-6) and you have a winner with an otherwise stock OPTI system.
