What was the major difference in the ZR1 sending unit? They have the same tank? I like the two pin thing. That is good information right there.

The zr1 unit uses two pumps in a staggared setup. It has the plastic enclosures for the pump to go into unlike the stock one that just has the metal at the bottom of the pump. Here's a pic along with my new regulator, aeromotive 13106

So I heard that the walbro 465 pump pulls 18 amps at 60 psi. That's a pretty good amount of current and probably why my setup got fried. Hopefully the new one works better.

I finished the install of the aeromotive 13106 regulator today. I did a test key on and so far so good; no leaks. Pressure went right to 41 psi so I'm close to where we tuned it at.

It is later than I should be starting the car, so I'll find out if this fixes my idle pressure tomorrow. If it does, great. If not, then it's the return line. I got the regulator for $100 brand new in the box so it's not the end of the world if it doesn't work but hopefully it does.

Fuel pressure dialed in at 40 psi where we did the tune. Works great!

At 14 volts this pump will do 100 gph at 60 psi. I'm seeing 14.5 on the dash so it should be moving some serious fuel!

so I got the racetronix harness for early c4 instead of late which has different weatherpack connectors near the pump. I discovered that once it was already in the car.

I ordered the weatherpack tool and the correct fittings and it is all fixed and hooked up now. This should be much better than having big current go through the stock wiring. In addition, this will give the pump maximum current.

So I have a question... This set up sounds like it is good for 1000hp and up? Since the last I saw the Racetronics 255lph kit is maxed out at the 550hp point? I need to upgrade my pump im sure, but I am looking to be in the ball park eventually of 650-700hp. What else needs to be done to get there besides injectors? It seems like a regualtor and a ZR1 sending unit? These are stock fuel lines correct? Any modifications on the pump?

I'm running a walbro 465 pump which is much larger than the racetronics one in their kit(it's 255 lph). Lines are fine. Make sure your wiring is up to task to feed the pump.

So since I have a 95 all I would need is a 465 pump, racetronics wire upgrade kit and possibly a zr1 unit? Sorry I have never messed with a fuel pump before but just would like to know a full parts list of what you have ended up with for someone who may have a stock pump in their car now and looking to go from that to a pump like this that would hold up wards of 550hp

Im running a aeromotive 340 in the tank and a 392 inline with the racetronix harness and hot wire. My car makes 597 at the wheels right now and I have no fueling issues besides maxing out my 63LB injectors. My goal is 750 at the wheels by spring and I believe my fuel system will do it no problem. I will be going up to ID1000 injectors though.

I also have that aeromotive regulator. Its a nice piece!

Edit... You could almost be at 650 with a msd boost a pump. Stock regulator is fine with a 255 pump. Or you could add a 255 inline booster pump and get there
