BOB CURRAN RESETS NMCA XTREME STREET RECORD, CLAIMS 3 WALLYS IN 3 CONSECUTIVE RACES!
Bob Curran, a longtime veteran of the NMCA Xtreme Street class, recently made the switch to a Hughes Performance billet Pro Series torque converter to back his new Vortech supercharged LSx combination in his well-known Corvette. The change in his converter program paid off, as Bob managed to reset the NMCA Xtreme Street record with an outstanding 7.83 E.T. at 178 MPH. During the record setting weekend Bob also claimed not one, but TWO Wallys in the SAME weekend since the Bowling Green final got postponed due to inclement weather and was ran during the Joliet race. The victories didn't stop there, as the very next NMCA race in Bowling Green resulted in yet another Bob Curran Xtreme Street class win and another Wally to add to his growing collection. Hughes Performance is excited to see what is sure to be even more stellar performances this season from Bob Curran, as he has been as fast as 7.80 at 181 this year even though he did not claim this E.T. or MPH for the class record. Congratulations Bob! Hughes Performance is proud to be a small part of your success!
