Default I'm still lurking around/ got some flow #'s and ?'s

Hello everyone. My life has changed a lot but one thing has not. My project 91. I'm hoping that is going to change soon. My motivation is building and I feel good about getting back on track with that car. Just wanted to warn you all that I'll be asking a bunch of questions about what the latest and greatest is for the turbo C4. I look forward to hearing from the "old" guys as well as our newer members.

I had my stock LT1 castings that I ported on the flow bench yesterday. Here's the numbers.

.100 .200 .300 .400 .500 .550 .600
in 78 148 205 246 274 292 252
ex61 106 146 166 181 186

As you can see my exhaust kinda sucked it. I didn't do a lot of work to them coz I wasn't really sure what I should be doing. Now I don't know if I should try to help them or leave them alone.

I had previously chosen (and bought) a Comp Cam. It seemed right at the time and now I'm questioning that decision. .224 .224 .568 .568 114LSA 383ci The lobes are 3192 but I don't remember what those were. lol

looking good on intake...at .500 for sure...for stock heads..thats good flow..

for sure...open the exhaust up... spend the time if you're doing the porting..

also, the 114lsa..good choice... how large a turbo are you thinking of using?

looking great !!

Stick with it

It took a while to get mine done
People thought it would never get done

I've been enjoying it for two years now.

I have a T70 to play with but it may fall short. I don't really have a "power goal". It's just a street car and I am trying to get the most power and streetabilty out of the combination of parts that I have. I have 20cc dished pistons and it seems that I figured the compression ratio to be about 9:1.

I tried to install my pistons again today, but the extemely thin rings always want to "pop" out before entering the cylinder. I was using a generic ring compressor and then I tried a tapered bore specific ring compressor. It isn't round and the oil ring hung up right away. What do you guys use? I'm using normal oil rings and Total Seal middle ring with a solid ring on the top. This shouldn't be this hard but I'm nervous to just give that piston a good whack to try and get it in the bore.

I had bad turbulence at .600 but .550 was really good on the intake. I did most of my research on the intake and of course the exhaust suffered.

The engine is a 383. The turbo will be on the drivers side. You can kinda see it in my avatar. That was just a mock header that I built.
