Default Been a long time.

It's been a long time since I've been on this forum. No reason other than life getting away. I'm in the process of getting my car back together and hopefully heading to the tracks in the spring. I've been out of the loop for so long I'm not ever sure if there is still an IRS class to run in. Any info would be great! We had a lot of friends on this forum before. Sorry we haven't been in touch. Best ET 9.107@157mph Cheers!

Thanks!! Yes Frankie this is Dennis's original car. I'm his nephew and have been working on, and driving the car since about 2000. My uncle moved away and left me with the car. Hopefully get it ready for the spring.

Basically the same set up as before. Same size engine but a new Dart block, rods and Pistons. Same heads, intake, cam etc. The old block was only rated for around 750hp and we were making over 1000hp with the spray so it was a safety issue. Adding a new progressive nitrous system, and fire suppression system as well. Just going to go out once and a while for fun. Nice to see a 8 second pass.

yes still staying IRS. The Hutch transmission didn't live too long. A good friend of mine has a transmission shop and built it for me.

it worked good for a little while then one of the drums exploded and completely destroyed the transmission. Good thing I had a shield on it. Nothing against Hutch though. Just a bad part. London is too far to go for a transmission.

Awesome to hear that you are staying with the IRS. Theres people here that think you cant run 12s with it and have it atay together.

We would love to hear more about your car and what youve done to get the IRS to stay together!
