Default New "Corvette" carpet

Hello everybody. I am replacing the carpet in my '85 and am looking for a true replacement carpet that is exactly like the original. I want a carpet that has the word "CORVETTE" embossed in the heel pad. Every carpet I've seen so far doesent have this. I'm doing a color change from graphite to black. If anyone has a very good original drivers side piece or if you now where I can get a new complete carpet set, or a N.O.S. one, please help. Thanks in advance.

MY MASS bask came from TLD but it doesn't have "Corvette" embossed in it. My guess would be the Chebby Store if it can still be had. Gotta sat The TLd stuff with Lloyd mats is mighty sharp.

Thanks for the info. My original drivers side carpet isnt too badly worn, its just the wrong color. I was thinking I can buy a "regular" carpet set, install all but the drivers side floor piece and dye my original drivers side piece. Has anyone had success dyeing a carpet to a different color? If so, how did you do it?

I just had my entire interior carpet set replaced. I also changed my mats. I had them embroidered with the Corvette word at the bottom. The interior came out perfect. I just uploaded the picture of my new mats so it might not yet be visible. If you want to click on my Corvette photos, you can see my interior and if you check back tomorrow, my mats should be there as well.

http://www.carmotorsports.com/ is the place where I bought the carpet set and mats. They are wonderful to deal with. Their products have excellent quality and they have a huge variety of choices and colors.

I have not tried it yet, but I have heard that the black dye has a bit of purple tint to it, and also won't get any vynal spots like on the edges of some of the carpet pieces in the back ect. Do a search on my user name for the past 3 weeks or so, I was asking about this.

My wheel well carpet is cooked pretty bad. I guess the previous owner never used the cargo cover. On the bright side, the carpet under the seats and floormats look real good !
