who has a "less desireable"color combo on their C4?
was just skimming threw my corvette blackbook, and it lists color combo's that were "acceptable"or "most desireable"."but other combinations could be ordered"well, who has,or has seen a "not acceptable"or "less desireable"one.a friend of mine used to have a black 93 with torch red int, that was pretty uncommon, kind of grew on me after a while though, seen a yellow ZR1 in a mag, with torchred int also thats gotta be a litte much though.any "rare"exterior colors like 86's "medium brown metallic" pics welcome also

IMHO, there is no such thing.
But Polo Green with a red interior would not go well.

Besides the "base" cloth seats, white was the least ordered in 1993 with only 1388.
Makes for a great color combination, if I do say so myself.

When Bought new Corvette demographics are older and male just and as such I have always felt were way to conversvative with color combinations. I can think of a million really cool color combinations that I would love to own a c4 in that were never produced. Admiral blue with saddle (did they make that?), Black Rose with Ox Blood, just about anything with white interior, Black with Bright Blue interior, a competition yellow interior...black with torch red is INSANE cool... I could go on all night. I know the Calloway speedsters had some crazy loud interiors as I remember seeing a red with bright blue that was awesome. I also thought C4s should have had an option for color matched rag tops like the 4oth ruby cars had... Imagine Torch red, Admiral blue and Polo Green with matching rag tops...Also With the exception of GS and 95 ZR1/ CE wheels I always thought C4s were WAY to uptight with the wheel choices and they NEVER finished the brake rotors or calipers or put nice looking exhuast under them. If GM had had younger people in mind they might have came through with some of that stuff for us

Ok thought excersise
Why Would Copper with Torch red interior be any more out in left feild that the CEs with Torch red? Also while im ranting on the subject ive always felt that Corvette in general was way to limited not only in color conbinations but also in exterior color in general. Examples of common colors that I dont think were ever allowed/ offered are Orange, Bright greens, full on Purples, and until Admiral blue no straight forward blues. Im not talkin anything radical here just the colors in the basic crayola box of 8. Seems like its all about red, black, white, silver safe colors.

I have a 90 with the photosensitive yellow. It gets darker when exposed to the sun. You had to sign a waiver stating you understood that your car's various parts may not match if you parked the car where portions were exposed to the sun while others were in the shade. They made only 278 in this color before it was discontinued for the 90 model year. I have the waiver for my car and it is funny when you read it.

Back in the '70's, GM decided to no longer sell the 'vette at low profit margins to build showroom traffic-it had to meet the same profit parameters as all the other car models. Also during the '70's, they gradually doubled the price of the 'vettes to get the profit up to par. Actually, if sales hadn't kept up, GM would have canned the 'vette like they did the 'vair. I'm kinda glad they didn't.
I understand that but it seems throught most of teh C4 years it was polo green instead of straight green, Dark Blues instead of bright blues, the darker reds, Gold, BROWN! Cadillacy colors. They had plenty of slots for colors and just used em on stuff that I thought as a kid were old peopley. Seems liek it kinda turned around in the 90s with Comp yellow, Torch red and admiral blue and silver returning
