for the 3rd brake light high mount.

I got mine at an good auto parts store. They are standard bulbs. Mine were #811, I think, for an '88 coupe.

Top ones are hallegen if you can get them for 5 do it!! dealer wants 12 ea. and part stores here were 8 ea, (times 4 no less)

edit, mine is a 90 I didn't think there was a roof mounted one on the coupe in 86, is that what you are reffering too?

86 was the first year for the roof mount third brake light on the coupe.

you can get them most places, just call ahead. the fun part is replacing them.

in most corvettes you need to remove the wheels, hood, seats, gas tank, spare tire, carpet and transmission to replace that bulb. good luck!

I took my 3rd brake light off the top and replaced it with an LED light bar under the hatch.

I replaced a couple a few years back and still have a spare bulb for my 87. The package reads GE#891 and they were $7 each..but as I say, that's a few years back.
