Wind Flow-thru
Now that summer is here in Southern California, or SC for those of you that watch channel 7 weather, I am thinking about buying one of those rear window hatch vent do-dads. You know, the one that holds the rear hatch up to get ride of the wind noise. Before spending my $29.99 I'd like to know if anyone out there has tried one.

I have used one and it does work well in moving air and reducing turbulance. The only thing I didn't like about it is when I hit a bump the back hatch would rattle. The latch didn't grip it quite tight enough. There are about three different kind. Maybe some are better then others.

Mine works great and I think it makes the car look kinda cool too.It definately makes a difference on the turbulence.I have the original VHS tape that came with the car and if you watch the guy driving explaining the car with the top off his hair is blowing forwards. Not with one of these.I thought it was SoCal.

I use these on my C4 and C5 with no problems at all. Solid Product!
As for fumes, its just like those station wagons our parents owned in the 70s with the power rear windows.. as long as you arent sitting in traffic and running the car, no problems with fumes entering the cabin.

I have one that I sometimes use on my 93. It does work.. It cuts down on the swirling/circular air motion you usually get in the car. Normal street use, 40-45 mph, it's a . If you're on the highway at 70+ mph, it doesn't help much at all.

Another shameless plug for the corvettegadgetman. Go with him and you're buying right from the guy that makes it, no middleman to mess with and added their markup.
As for exhuast fumes, only use the hatchvent with the top off or at the very least both windows completely down and you'll have no problems.
