Default Two tone w/Black anyone?

Do any of you have pice of a two tone job with black on top or bottom? I've been kicking this idea around, black over metallic gunmetal or another color...

Here's my photoshop so far: It doesn't capture the metallic shine but the color is right.

What do you guys think? Or is it a little to knightrider?

Kidding aside, I like the look you're after. Something that I have not seen in a C4 personally.

A friend had a factory black/silver 86 that was very sharp. They did not make very many that combo. Sorry, no pics.

Just yesterday I parked by a two-tone silver over black 86 or so that looked great. Very 80's, but cool. I think the black over silver would look even better .

The early C4's were designed to allow for two-tones. The whole beltline/clamshell thing was inspired by the Ferrari 512BB - many of which were red over black.

The Malcolm Konner Commemorative Edition vette (1986) had a similar paint scheme and it looked good. Go for it!

It's time to think like Chip... Chip Foose that is.

Consider this... taking the contrasting colour and wrapping it up and over the rear a bit.

Secondly, to continue to think like Chip, be more abstract with the colours...

The top, black rose... the bottom, metallic white, or something equally shimmery.

Then use a nice burgandy pinstripe to define the blend area.

Actually I was watching that all day yesterday. All 3 episodes over and over. Inspiring!

I'm thinking the met grey is too much, getting rid of it on the front nose, (maybe add more on the rear?) I do like the two tone dividing across the rear plate though.

This and maybe AFS's dark chromes. Saw them on a LS1 t/a friday. Eye candy. I'm sick of wheel spacers.

I think it looks awesome. theres a pic in corvette fever of a car on a track with a two tone. red/black i think and it looks amazing ! Black on top with tint on the windows will make it look so sharp imo.

I'm doing a flat black bottom on my sister's 93 Explorer, as all of the rust was below the trim line, this way I can do it without having to match to her top color, which I can't seem to find except at high end paint places.

It looks great so far.
