I just completed a car fax on a car that I am buying and found some strange things. First off it has a salvage title, which is ok I already knew that before I bought it. I am getting the car really cheap and dont plan on selling it so that DOES NOT bother me at all. JUST MAKING THAT CLEAR. I do have some other info I question. ok here it goes

11/30/98 89k miles on it salvage title/certificate issued
12/28/98 89,100k salvage title/cert iss. KY motor vehicle DEPT Paoli IN
9/13/99 Indiana motor vehicle Paoli IN salvage title issued
6/27/00 90,174k ohio motor vehicle LIMA OH title issued or updated correction to record Loan or Lien reported Register as a LEASE VEHICLE
12/31/01 ohio motor vehicle LIMA oh title issued or updated correction to record loan or lien reportd
6/4/03 92,932k ohio lima oh NEW OWNER reported salvage title issued
7/7/03 Salvage auction dayton oh sold at salvage auction
7/8/03 ohio motor dayton ohio new owner reported salvage title issued
3/8/05 ohio motor dayton ohio duplicate title issued salvage title rebuilt title issued
4/21/05 salvage auction dayton ohio sold at salvage auction.
ok thats the report I TYPED it in so i hope its clear. The way i am getting it is that it was salvaged then probably fixed then LEASED out and then wrecked right after that and then sold again at different auctions. I dont know what do u guys think, oh ya ONE THING look at the small amount of miles on this thing since 1998. and it now has the same 92k from years ago. When i looked at this think it started and ran and I drove it but its missing a few body parts and NOTHING is damaged now just needs bold on parts put on it and its ready to roll. Ran rough due to old gas needs tuned up. THANKS

So what was the question again? I think I missed that part. Everytime the title exchanges hands, a salvage title will be re-issued, nothing unusual there. Was that what concerned you or was it the lack of miles accumulated since 98?

Sorry just the questions are pretty much a few things, first off is it even possible to lease a used car with a salvage title? and does it seem like it has been totaled out 2 times or one time? I don't know its just hard for me to understand

I do not know about leasing. The title will say SALVAGE forever, i do not think it was totaled out twice. Every time that title is re-issued it will say SALVAGE.

Where are you reading that it has been wrecked twice?

oh it dont even say it was wrecked once it just says salvage title issued the first time which means it was wrecked and then a few years later it says leased to some one and now it is missing a front bumper and head lights and airbag and was purchased at a salvage auction. so i dont know
