Default shift ****

Hello all,

I am trying to remove my automatice shift ****. I read my $100 manual and it tells me to remove the button, then the clip, and the **** should come off. Well, I did all that, and the **** still won't come off. Anybody else face this problem?

That procedure worked for me. Don't be afraid to give it a slight twist and a hard pull, especially if it's the first time yanking it off.

Default shift ****

Thanks for the info. I was worried that I was missing something about the directions. Don't want to break anything.

Default Shift ****

Yes, I took off the spring clip. I had to cut off the **** in pieces. I was going to replace the **** anyway.
