Default Shinoda / Mears Body Kit HELP!

Is there anyone that has actually installed this kit? Does anyone have a copy of the instructions? I have an original kit and have started working on it but this is not going to be an easy install... especially without any instructions.

Thanks,

-JRW

I love that kit. Post pics as you progress. Are there any still out there?

This kit was in some guys garage and was never opened. The only thing missing is the instructions which is going to be a major problem.

I have the entire front end stripped off my 1990 convertable and just need some instructions to get this going.

Anyone else help?

Are any of those yours? The body looks great... but its not a simple bolt on kit and its going to be a pain to do with out any instructions.

Thanks,

Step one: unbolt stuff
Step two: bolt stuff on.

gp

O.K., there's some more steps. Mark and shave to fit. unbolt, re-bolt, shave, unbolt, shave, re-bolt... Finally, sand & paint.

.
.
.

Instructions? Who needs sticking instructions? I didn't have instructions when I converted from early to late bumpers, moldings, etc... You just have to be smarter than the car!

Thats what I thought too... guess what?... it is nothing like the original body! I have 4 boxes of accessories, brackets, and other hardware. The front bumper is 4 different peices + brackets unlike the original.

Will I figure it out someday on my own... I sure hope so, but its already Feb and I want to have it painted and on the road as soon as it gets nice out!!

Someone must have installed this kit before!!!!

I just remembered someone who said he bought a SMears kit off eBay. I also believe it wasn't installed as of last spring ('06). So, he might have the instructions?

PM sent with his email address. I got his name from another forum. I don't remember if he hangs in this one too.

Searched in the old posts here......
Word is that The Last Detail in Atlanta was the one selling off the kits.
http://www.tld-corvette.com
They post on ebay under Atlantacorvette
Give them a call and see if they have any or a lead on one.

I own the one corvetteronw had posted the pics on. It is chromeillusion paint. I still have the books somewhere if that helps. Email at malcolmmar@msn.com if you need help. P.S. Now working on a custom matching Corvette liquor trailer named "ThirstAid".
