Default 1989 C4 dash removal

Where are the screws located to remove the dash cover pad. I found the vent screws and the screws above the digital dash panel, but where are the rest of them?

There are none on the right side. If you found the 3 over the instrument panel and the 2 for the defroster vent then just lower your steering wheel and give it a good pull. It will come right off.

What Ron said.

There are clips that hold it to the front portion of the dash pad support. If it hasn't been off in a while, it may take a good tug to get it to come off. Pull it straight toward you, not up.

when you put it back on put some silicone grease on clips. it will make it easier to put on and help stop squeaks. also makes it easier to remove

Great idea

Of course, stopping one squeak on an old C4 is like pissing on a 4 alarm fire.

Default Dash pics...

I'm currently re-doing my interior. I need to dye the speaker grilles on top of the dash pad back to black...they we're faded to blue. While I have the dash pad out, I took a couple of pics showing the clips, clip slots and anchor points mentioned above...hope this helps....

whe you put dash back in , dont crank down on vent screws, just snug them loosely. this will prevent dash from cracking when body flexes. ..... as far as white grease or duct tape...... hell you can put super glue on for all i care. its your car!
