Exhaust Header and Cat Back question
I finally decided on the exhaust (B&B) but not sure what size the orig is on my 1995 LT1? Is it 2.5" or 3". Will a 3" system bolt right up to the Orig Cats?
Second question is on shorty headers (keeping orig cat equip). What brand fits best to the stock cat? I know there's not much to gain from shorties so it's more about fit and install.
Any thoughts would be helpfull please.
Thanks

The stock system is a 2.75" but the catback will be a bolt-on, even though it's a 3". I don't know which shorties are best for your car but someone will have some opinions.

If your not doing Long Tube Headers why waste the money, shorties do nothing but releave you of money... LT give performance...
Do some research, there must be 500 posts on headers/pipes/cats, etc...a little research goes a long way

So no thoughts on the best fit.
I can only seem to find Hooker and Pacesetter's.

I'm basically doing the same install on my '96. I went w/ the B&B 3" sys w/ an x-pipe instead of the resonator. I called my buddy who runs a local corvette perf shop. He said the best fitting is going to be tpis, or hooker. He said the two of them are superior to EM, when it comes to fitment. I'm prob going w/ the hooker - looks like a good deal. ceramic coated for around 6 bills / shipped.
GL on your decision - I'm sure you'll be satisfied w/ the hookers.

Also for the threadstarter, dont waste your money, just paint your stock ones if anything.

Contact Jet Hot and ask about their Hooker Shorties that have their Sterling Coating (ceramic). I have them along with the B&B 3" with the resonator (no X-pipe) and OEM cats. It runs very nice and don't believe that there is no gain from the shorties. You'll get about half of what the long tubes give you. Oh, the sound is nice and deep. I've had this set up on for about 4 years, still looks new.

I used to want a 3000 vr4 spyder
They didnt make many of them at all and they were and probably are still quite expensive also one of the first if not the first Modern era (90's till current) hard top convertibles

Yes those are nice as well. From the factory, my 94 vr4 was arouns $45-47k, which is expensive for back then. The spyders can be had for $20k-50k, I really like the 99's, although my 94 was fun with the active aero package, when you beat someone in a race you could wave bye to them, just flip the switch and the rear wing would raise, and the front spoiler would lower.
