"sys" light radio wiring question
I have an aftermarket radio installed. OK, I'm following the tsb. I have the resistors. I even looked past posts. But no where does anything or anyone say which wires to hook them up to. Meaning there are 2 purple w/white stripes (located on 2 different connectors) and 2 grey w/black stripes located on the same connector side by side. The tsb diagram does not show multiple wires. I just don't want to hook them up to the wrong wire even though it has the right color. Any help would be appreciated. Someone out there has to have gone through this. HELP!

With the male/female sides of the rubber connector still attached, cut all four wires off and attach one resistor to one end of the purple/white wire and the other resistor to one of the grey/black wires.
I wasn't sure if I had the correct wires so, before I permanently installed the receiver, I made all connections and turned the stereo receiver on and checked if the "SYS" light came on.
The "SYS" light never came on so, I buttoned everything up.

OK, here is what I've done so far. I tried to test it, but I got to take a break and go get new battery bolts. Previous owner jammed them all up. We'll see what happens. The black is 12 volt switched power. One is to the grey w/black and one purple w/white. Does this look right?

Instead of the wires going from the connector into the head unit the wires are cut free from the head unit and only have the resistors attached to the two colored wires.
I should've taken a picture at the time.
