Default question about autozone intake manifold gasket kit

i recently removed my intake manifold(87 vette) to replace the leaking gasket. from research i found out many people bought the felpro gasket kit from autozone. my first question is does the gasket kit come with fuel injector orings(the picture shows what appears to be eight orings) my second question is where can i purchase replacement bolts for the intake manifold(some torx bolts are worn). any other suggestions on the install would be appreciated. thanks pat

The Orings with my kit seemed to large, didn't need them for mine. I stripped out one of my torx bolts. It was Sunday, didn't have a choice but to get a stainless bolt from home depot and a washer. It worked fine. They didn't have them in 1 1/4 in so used the 1 inch. Actually, if I have to pull it again I will use standard bolts. You will need fuel line Orings, bought them separately. Use the Right Stuff, get everything clean for reassembly.

Yes the intake gasket kit comes with the fuel connection o-rings..

and I bought a complete set of 12 manifold bolts from the local chevy dealer.. nothing like nice brand new torx bolts that are pre treated with locktite / sealer.

I think it cost me around 50 bucks for the set..

The Fel-Pro kit I got had the O-rings. And yes, use either The Right Stuff or Copper RTV Silicone. My intake's still leak-free after more than four years after the repair.

I did the same since I wanted to retain that stock look.

other suggestions on the install would be appreciated.
-stuff some rags into the intake ports and across the valley before cleaning the surfaces
-roughen the front & rear lands & mating base surfaces with #30 paper
-use a punch to divit the those lands & the base
-clean all surfaces with brake parts cleaner
-chase the base bolt holes in the heads and clean them
-apply a thin layer of sealant (RTV, Rigth Stuff, whatever) around each water passage on the under side of the gaskets, lay the gaskets on the heads and similarly apply a thin layer to the top surfaces
-apply two beads of sealant to the front & rear lands, trailing a little up onto the gaskets
-immediately drop the base straight down onto the lands & heads, no movement fore or aft once the base touches the sealant
-apply a thin layer of Permatex #2 to the base bolt threads and start them into the heads
-tighten the base bolts, torque to spec in the proper sequence and walk away for >24hrs.

If you do NOT already have a FSM, buy one NOW. The $$ you are saving on this job more than pay for the manual.

I bought the Felpro kit too and it came with the O rings. I just regular black RTV sealant and its holding just fine. The biggest problem I had were the stupid intake runner gaskets, so annoying.

If the new gaskets are missing the plastic pins you can pull them from the old gaskets; these pins "tend to" hold the gaskets in place.
