Default 1/4 Mile Runs For Stock 94 LT1/A4

I made it to O'Rielly Raceway Park yesterday to get baseline 1/4 mile times on my car before I start making any changes. My car's driveline is 100% stock (LT1 /A4, I don't know the axle ratio at this time). My 1st run was straight from the highway to the starting line. The air temp. was 89* and my water temp. was 228*.
#1
R/T - .514
60' - 2.210
1/8 - 9.330
MPH - 72.48
1/4 -14.47
MPH -95.68

#2 was hotlapped and was basically identical.
#3 car was allowed to cool down. Air - 82*, water - 169*. What a difference cooler temps make! 7/10 quicker!!!
R/T - .257
60' - 2.141
1/8 - 8.939
MPH -79.43
1/4 - 13.756
MPH - 101.53

Needless to say, I was very happy to see 13s out of the box.

I was there last night as well. I was in the Millennium Yellow 2002 convertible. I remember seeing your car in the staging lanes. I'm glad to hear that you did well.

It was quite warm for May.

Reaction Time affects who crosses the finish line first, but it doesn't affect elapsed time.

You're right at where you should be for a stock LT1.

13.8 is the 'professional' ET for a stock LT1...

I think I got down to 13.99 or so in my bone stock 1994 LT1 (I'm shifting though!).

My personal best with just K&N, Drag Radials, and mufflers/spare tire eliminated is 13.006. It was a very cold day.

I bought my 95 in 2004 with 42k miles on it. The original owner kept it all original with zero modifications. I had a 13.502 my first day ever on a track with street tires on it. This was in the South with the temps in the high 80's at the begining of the summer. The rest of my runs for that day were all in the mid to high 13's. I do have the 3.07 rear option and I was cooling the intake with some ice between runs. Others have been able to get low 13's with perfect conditions and driving.

I went 13.60's with 2.59 rears completely stock 93 A4. Better tires and it would have gone quicker.

my '93 with the 2.59 gears went a best of 13.37 in the cool weather.

Average et on a typical summer day was about 13.70-13.80

I do have just over 100,000 mi. on it. 1.6 roller rockers, 185* fan switch, a custom tune and maybe some 3.73s may get me to the 12s. (A fresh engine wouldn't hurt either)

All I've got is the spare tire removed, mufflers removed, Drag Radials, and a K&N airfilter, and I've run a 13.006.

If you don't have Drag Radials yet, that should be your first (and cheapest) way into the 12's...

Sorry I missed talking to you, Bill. You left early, but I saw you run a couple of times. (Nice ride)

Thanks. Though I've run other cars out there, that was the first time that I've run the yellow one. It's stock, other than I have GS-D3's rather than the run-flats.

I just noticed that this is my 500th post.

I feel like such a post *****.

I used to have a 96 A4 with 1.6 roller rockers, a hypertech "tune" and the performance rear axle ratio (3.07?). I also has a Corsa exhaust that I forgot about. I only took it to the track once. My best time that night was a 13.45.
