It makes a big difference
i still have my old shocks,but i lifted a friend's 1995 hood and it felt like cardboard or foam !!!!!

Try Corvette Central, they have them ($60.00). Rockauto website is hard to use for us that are puterstupid.

It's called a lift support. The last two on this page. One is in stock, the AC Delco ships from warehouse (2 day delay, it says)

The link is for '91 Corvette/body/lift supports. It shows the hatch lifts and the hood lifts. The two at the bottom of the section are the hood ones.
