Default Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet

I found this on a junked C4 vert at Carlisle. Gordon Killebrew told me that this was formed into each 89-96 Corvette convertible. I have seen pics of this but never in person.
It is just above the passenger rear-side speaker.

Hi Ron, it was nice to meet you and thanks for the help you tried to give me on securing the hard top. My son and I made it back on Sunday night after a nine hour drive with the hard top still on!

If we are looking at the door after the panel is off, i have pulled mine off several times and never saw that on the door. I have 1989.

I can't seem to find this on my '89 vert. Maybe it was a late '89 or '90 and up thing? The picture above is of the opening for the sloped rear speaker shelf as in the '90 and up cars. My '89 has the speakers where the compartment doors would have been. I couldn't find this near the speakers.

My memory is obviously shot. Looks like it came on 90 and newer C4s.

I don't remember exactly but its somewhere in the hatch area behind the carpet. I was working on my car one day and took the rear carpet loose to either work on the speakers or when I was replacing the antennae motor and found it. The only reason I knew it was there is because Ron had mentioned it in a post about a year ago. His memory is shot. (Just kidding CorvetteRonW!)

CRS. Guess I shouldn't have smoked that Thai gold way back in the day while stationed in Long Binh. Seems to be affecting my memory. Especially when my wife talks to me. Can't seem to remember a thing she has asked me to do or especially things NOT to do.
