I am in the process of replacing my rear calipers with good used calipers. When I took the flex line or the rubber line that goes to caliper from the hard line what I noticed was that there is no copper washer at the connection. I always noticed from doing brake jobs on other vehicles is that there is always a copper washer between the line and the caliper. Is this normal on Vettes? I also noticed that there are grooves on the caliper and on the line sits flush and firm.

When I rebuilt my rear calipers they did have copper crush washers which I did replace. No expert here, but would think you should have the same?? Doug

Yes you need them!

It's a metal seal, you need it.

sometimes they have aluminum washers and they will stick to the banjo or the caliper and appear not to be there.Look more carefully.

Thanks guys, yes it was Aluminum washer that looked as though it was part of the caliper.
