Excellent Car Ramps for Corvettes
For anyone that doesn't already have a pair of good ramps, you can't beat these Rhino Ramps for under $35 at any parts store or WalMart/Kmart.
Got a pair initially for my woman's 280ZX that we keep at our summer home, and I was sold.
No clearance issues at all on the '88 or '71 for height or tire size.

The only problem I've ever encountered with them is that they don't get the car that high off the ground (6 or 7 inches, I think). For them to work out better for me, I'm going to have to lay off the Twinkies!

Did you have to stick wood in front of the ramp so the spoiler doesnt hit it or drive right up? $35 works, those $150 ramps are a little rich for my blood.

Because jack stands suck to use on a C4, since you can only put them in like one place and you have to be dead on or they'll move a little when resting on them and crack your rocker panels. Have you ever put the car on jack stands at that height? Very wobbly.

BTW, please don't bash the twinkies. I love twinkies, snowballs, and suzi-q's... and I'm skinny (if you eat the calories, just don't forget to burn them off).

Now that's what I like to see. One USAF vet/Corvette owner backing up another, but only because it's true.

I had mine up about 24 inches on stands when I removed the pan doing my cam swap. it was rock solid the outer frame rails are not the only place you can put the stands. you can put them anywhere along the frame. if yours is moving on jack stands you have a problem with placement or the stands themselves. I will trust stands over a plastic ramp any day. whichever way you choose just please be safe
