Driving them back to back, my '92 LT1 M6 feels faster than my '95 LT1 A4 with performance axle ratio.

I guess the 3.45 vs 3.07 axle ratio makes a big difference, plus the fact that my M6 is always in the "right" gear.

What do you guys think?

Stock for stock, both my cars had identical 60' times, but my six speed always ran a higher mph. Actually it also had a lower et. But my A4 had the 2.59 gears in it. The difference between the two was 6 mph and 3 tenths in the 1/4.

I have a 95 A4 w/3:07, and I 've noticed just the opposite with 6spds I've had. It's hard to judge by feel.

Get a tune on the A4 and shift points won't matter. Driver error can even out the gear difference. IMO
